According to Kaiser Health News, the health insurance industry is preparing a new campaign plan to stop Medicare Advantage pay cuts. In 12 states, 30 second television ads will be aired to urge Congress, Obama and his administration to not approve the 2.3% deduction on private plans. Online advertising will also be another tool they will use in their campaign. Analysts believe that in 2013, in addition to the cuts on private plans, these cuts may also result in a earnings plunge for insurers.
